The Importance of Movement

Is it okay to escape reality and get outside of yourself? Yes

Is it okay to eat that piece of cake at 9am? Yes

Is it okay to binge watch 5 hours of a new show? Yes

Is it okay to do this every single day? Before I answer this, what do you think? Do you really think it’s a productive use of your time to constantly indulge in behaviors that will not put you in a position to grow and evolve? Well, do you? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I know my answer, what’s yours?

No one wants to be in this current situation, but for the time being, it is out of our control. But, what you can control is how you use this time of unexpected isolation. There are always two paths you can go down, which means there’s always a choice. You have the power to choose which direction you want to go on a moment to moment basis.

You can choose to dedicate more of your time turning inwards and engaging in self-discovery or you can view it as a sign to do anything and everything to keep the focus off yourself and ultimately waste your time. And that’s all it will be, a waste of your own time, no one else’s.

I am speaking from the heart when I say this, the only way I know how. If I can provide information and knowledge based on past and current life experiences, then I will never hold back. I am motivated and I am driven by the darkness I rose from and if I can help one person change course, then this was a success.

So, if this isn’t for you, that’s fine with me. But, if there’s one thing you can take from all of this it’s the fact that life is all about balance. What you decide to do during these unprecedented times will have ramifications and consequences that extend way beyond the near future.

I guess I have one more thing for you to do. Ask yourself this before you do anything: What are my motivations and intentions? If it doesn’t serve you, why do it? If it does, why not do more of it.
