My Story
Kyle’s recovery journey started over 15 years ago during one of the most challenging periods of his life. Feeling lost and overwhelmed, he reached a turning point that sparked a profound shift in his perspective. It wasn’t an easy path, and the process of healing has been ongoing, filled with both setbacks and growth. But through resilience and determination, Kyle began to rebuild his life and uncover the strength within himself to move forward.
The road wasn’t easy, and it didn’t happen overnight. It’s a process that continues to unfold, filled with highs and lows, victories and setbacks. Kyle stumbled and fell many times, but each challenge taught him something new about resilience, strength, and the importance of facing life head-on. Over time, he began to peel back the layers of his struggles, uncovering patterns and beliefs that no longer served him. He realized how interconnected his challenges were and how they touched every aspect of his life.

One of the most difficult obstacles was his relationship with food and body image. For years, he didn’t recognize how deeply these struggles affected him—how they mirrored the self-doubt and shame he carried. Healing required him to confront those feelings honestly, to address the pain and fears he had buried, and to rebuild his sense of self from the inside out. It was a process of learning to see himself with compassion and to embrace the idea that he was worthy of peace, health, and happiness.
Throughout this journey, Kyle sought out transformative experiences to push his limits and help him grow. Whether it was trekking 112 miles through the mountains of Corsica, sitting in silence for 10 days at a Vipassana meditation retreat, or exploring the world of urban farming
in New York City, each experience challenged him to grow in ways he couldn’t have anticipated. And yet, growth wasn’t linear. There were times when it felt like progress was out of reach, but those moments ultimately deepened his resolve.
Yoga became a cornerstone of Kyle’s recovery. What started as a simple practice to calm his mind became a vital tool for reconnecting with his body and spirit. It was through yoga that he began to embrace the idea of holistic healing, understanding that the mind, body, and soul are deeply interconnected. This realization led him to pursue a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Mysore, India, and later, a Master’s Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition. Through these pursuits, he discovered his passion for helping others navigate their own healing journeys.
Faith has been a guiding force throughout Kyle’s recovery. It has grounded him during life’s most difficult moments and reminded him of what truly matters: peace, connection, and service to others. He’s learned that healing isn’t about perfection; it’s about showing up, being present, and taking one step at a time.
Today, Kyle’s mission is to walk alongside others as they navigate their own struggles. Whether through food, movement, or mindset shifts, he helps people rediscover their strength and create lives that feel whole and fulfilling. This mission inspired him to create *The Recovery Nutritionist*—a space where individuals can reclaim their lives and discover their potential.
Originally from Liberty, NY, Kyle returned to his roots in 2018 and now lives in Milford, PA, with his partner Ingrid and their son Ren. Together, they are building a life centered on growth, connection, and wellness. Kyle is honored to support others on their journeys, one step at a time.
