Do What Makes You Happy

It’s a real simple question, yet as human beings, we like to complicate things. No one but yourself knows what will make you happy, so that’s something you have to ask yourself. And your mind will try to give you answers rooted in fear, anxiety, jealous or maybe lust. While your heart’s voice will come from a place of caring, happiness, and love.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Understand that sometimes those voices from your mind may be the loudest, but the ones coming from your heart will be the clearest and most beneficial to you and your overall happiness. It’s up to you decided which voices you are going to listen to and ultimately follow.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you choose to listen to everything your mind tells you, then you will be afraid to take any risks. If you constantly worry about what others might say about how you live your life, then you will keep yourself confined within parameters set up by everyone else. As a result, you will live a life stuck in a redundant cycle that is filled with complacent apathy and unhappiness.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Deep down, in your heart of hearts, you know that is not a life you or anyone would want to live. So, why allow others, why allow your own thoughts and opinions to sabotage your existence on Earth?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It doesn’t have to anymore. This is the moment when you tell yourself that you will no longer allow outside pressures, societal influences, family conditioning, and your own backwards thinking to dictate how you go through life. Because life is not about pleasing everyone else, it is about being happy. It’s time to truly listen to your heart. Shedding old habits, behaviors, and trains of thought and replacing them with a presence of consistent positive thoughts and beliefs in your mind and trusting your heart.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

That’s what will make you happy and joyous. Therefore, figure out what makes you happy, and do more of it. At the same time, figure out what makes you unhappy, and do less of it. It’s just that simple.
