Well, youโre not alone. A majority of people are being told or being strongly advised to stay inside for the foreseeable future. To self-quarantine, self-isolate, and practice social distancing, which I never knew was a term until this pandemic arose.
This is uncharted territory for many of us, which means we may not understand how to navigate our current situation. And on top of all that, we are constantly being bombarded with the news and social media platforms spewing all of these fear-based messages.
Itโs fear-mongering without a doubt. Now, donโt get me wrong, there are some facts sprinkled in there and information we should listen to, but a lot of it is unnecessary and just aims at creating this fear within you. Stay informed by finding reputable sources, watch the news, or read up on some current statistics once or twice a day at most. Anything more than this will only lead to the manifestation of anxiety and panic.
Notice when this may start to happen and make a conscious decision to change how you react. Make a concerted effort to remove those antiquated and barbaric habits youโve been holding on to for so long and create a new mindset that is rooted in love, kindness, and compassion.
Remember, fear is just a manifestation of the mind. It's not tangible. No one can actually hold fear in their hand. Donโt be controlled by fear. Donโt make your decisions based off of fear.
