Another year around the sun. Another 365 days in the books. Another chance for me to celebrate the day of the year that I was brought into this world. Another year filled will ups and downs, positives and negatives, triumphs and failures. And, to be completely honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I mean, who wants to have it so easy that you’re never confronted with a single challenge or obstacle. Not me. I am grateful for the lows, the downs, the negative times, because that’s where the true growth happens and real transformation can begin. At the same time, I am grateful for the ups, the positives, and the triumphs as confirmations that I am on the right path and doing the right thing to the best of my ability. I whole-heartedly choose to build up those successes and learn from those failures. No matter what.
That’s how I choose to live my life and it has made this journey not only beautiful, but amazing, thrilling, and more interesting than I could ever imagine. I am so excited to see what this next year has in store for me!

I also wanted to thank everyone for their birthday wishes, kind words, signs of support, and all the love that I felt from near and far. I can’t say this enough, but I am blessed to know each and everyone of you and honored for the part that you play in my life. There wouldn’t be a me without all of you and hope that I’ve been able to return the love in some way, shape, or form.

And I wanted to give a special shout out to my family. My Mom for always being my number one cheerleader, my biggest fan, my partner in crime these past three years. My Dad for always being a voice of reason, someone who I can bounce ideas off of, and for always being in my corner. My Sister for always showing up for me, supporting my dreams, and being the best friend a person could have.

And, finally, last but definitely not least, Ingrid. My amazing partner, girlfriend, best friend, and so much more, thank you. Thank you for showing me that true, unconditional love still exists. Thank you for allowing me to be me, no matter what. Thank you for allowing me to make mistakes, to come up short, to be human with the intention of pushing me to be better, do better, and live a better life. Thank you for being you in a world where there is so much mediocrity. So much mundaneness. So much status quo. And here comes you, the most unique, out-of-this-world, amazing human being who’s ever entered my life. And since that moment, I knew I never wanted you to exit my life and, I know deep down in my heart and soul, that you never will. We are tethered to one another.
